Easter Sunday was just an incredible meeting. Our ward had already planned (form counsel from Utah Regional seventy) to have a one hour meeting for Easter and to have be almost exclusively music like how our Christmas meeting is. It was exceptional. Music was mostly from our ward choir which has several professional musicians that sing with it and Brady Allred played the organ which really allows the organ to shine. He and Debbie Griffiths even played an organ and piano duet alone called Jerusalem. I hadn't heard it before.
Aubrie had been up here for a Brighton camp kick off work meeting and she spent the night and was here from Easter which was awesome. We all went to Pratts along with other extended family and Randy and Karen. We have had Easter at their house for several years with a huge egg hunt for all ages up to adults even. Their has always been the 100 golden egg and several other monetary values as well as gift cards etc. This year we toned it down and had a longer spiritual devotional before the egg hunt which was totally a good idea. We tried even harder this year to make Easter extra special and more like the energy we celebrate Christmas. I had purchased an Easter nativity to give to Clara several weeks ago and we used that to reenact the last few days of Jesus' life. And for Come Follow Me after church we read several keys scriptures and watched the Lamb of God along with President Nelson's Easter message which was so good.
Karen did an Easter celebration at her house on Friday for all the younger kids of the PRatts and ours. THey did several crafts, and a devotional and Randy and Karen really make it a nice, more spiritually focused celebration not an Easter party (her words). Karla and I decided to go to the temple last minute while they were at their house and it was such a grounding start to Easter for me. I was so glad that we went.
Because so many baseball games have been cancelled, now that it has been warm this week they are packing them in. Robbie has games pretty much every day it seems like, even Saturday for the next 3 weeks trying to get all their games in they are supposed to play for region. He has pitched 3 games this week, 2 in Varsity and one in a super close game (Saturday against Woods Cross). It seems like he is really feeling good and in control as a pitcher so far and we are so happy for him!
Blake had several games this week and their Saturday double header ended up being probably their all around best games they've played as a team for the last couple years. Ryan was just so happy. Its always up and down in sports but you have to enjoy it when its up ;). Blake loves catching and pitching alot. He is particularly good at catching. He's fast popping up, has a great arm and he knows the game well so he does all the little things that hold guys on base and control the game better.
Hallie had a down week of volleyball at her tournament down in Provo on Saturday. After a huge sweep of the losers bracket last tournament. They didn't win a set all day. I was at Clara and Lucas' soccer games all morning and then I took them and we headed to Provo and picked up SAurbie to go watch their last game. The girls all weren't trying very hard. I have seen them play way better and more energetic. Anyway, you win some, you lose some. For whatever reason it was not a good day of volleyball overall. Lucas was dressed again very early for his 11:00 soccer game and he was hilarious how he lines up for a kick off as if he's playing football all crouched down. When he did a kick off or kick in(they don't do throw ins) he would back up like 20-30 yards and run at the ball as fast as he could. So funny to watch. After his coach comes up and says "I can tell he has a lot of older siblings". ha!
Karen and I had come up with a plan to get her music courses finally produced and online and selling. We are a few meetings into making that happen. She has so much experience with teaching children and then music courses all through their last mission in Cambodia. She said "I don't want to die and not let my grandkids and great-grandkids not have the benefit of all the things that I have learned and spent my whole life developing". It is exciting and I am excited to help her with it.
I also have been working with Syd to produce her product "3 Week Sugar Reset" which is set to launch next week. It has been such an interesting thing for me to learn all the software she needs for it, Descript for video editing and Canva for all her printables (I use Illustrator as well), Duda for her website which is pretty new for me to help edit layout and design for websites, and several other things. I have loved it.

Our water heater has been leaking all week (which we thought was a plumbing problem a first because we had water come up under our floors in the bathroom (ugh)) which hopefully will be replaced on Tuesday.
Aubrie has still been dating Ryan and he did come to Easter dinner and seems like a very grounded, very good guy. He is from prestcott, AZ.
