Just got back from a girls (Aub and Hallie and I) trip with Laura and Lilly and Amber Kay and Leah/Paige to LA for 3-4 days.  Such a treat.  It was perfect for alot of reasons

-great weather (65-70 and mostly sunny)
-those 5 teenage girls are just treasures.  They are good, fun-loving girls that all get along SO well together.
-Laura and Amber are the best conversationalists.  We talked about mothering, being wives, neighbors, our callings, trusting our intuition, being more gracious with ourselves, we laughed till we cried about lots of things.  I feel so comfortable with both of them and so do our girls
-Universal Studios--we ran from ride to ride and did everything they had to do in one day.  And all just loved it, since it was a first for all of us.  And the girls drank A LOT of butterbeer.  One of my favorite rides we did was the "Walking Dead" walking tour that was pretty scary with lots of live zombies coming out from every unexpected place you could imagine--and the "set" was so real.  Half of us peed our pants and we screamed the whole way through.  And we all love rollercoasters so that was fun too.
-eating pizza from the pier house and playing on the beach after dark
-the day that Aubrie and Hallie and I had to ourselves that was wide open.  We got our nails did, walked a ton exploring, rode bikes for 10-12 miles along Venice/Santa Monica boardwalk, ate ice cream at salt and straw and watched a magician at the SM pier.
-Portos Cuban food--oh man.  Amber said the line is usually out the door and around the corner.  Their bistec with cilantro garlic sauce and maduros.....yum!
-Going to the LA temple and all doing baptisms.  We were there for a while and it was so good to be there
-Santee Alley shopping for like 5-6 hours.  Lots of ghetto cheap shopping and I scored on some new Sephora makeup palettes and lip stains.  Hallie got a new wallet, watch and sweatshirt and Aubrie bought earrings, a jacket, and scrunchies.  We bought the kids who stayed home some fun things too. :)
-Lots of talking and laughing (it's always the best)

A few of the cute things Luke is doing right now.  I don't highlight his cuteness near enough for the overall challenging experience since having him (partly him and partly being the 6th)

We got a few Alexa devices in our house for Christmas and even though its only been two weeks that we've been using it, he will yell from across the room or even get up close and yell into it "AHHHH!,  AHHHH!" trying so hard to get it to work like everyone else does.

He grabs our hand to lead us to whatever he is trying to get to or reach.  He puts his hand on my face and turns it so I will look at something he is trying to tell me about.

He says "Daaaaaaa!"  and "Maaaaaa!"  and lights up whenever Clara is around.  He starts kicking and movign whenever we pick her up from Kindergarten.  And then he wants all her attention. Today when she left soon after getting home to go to Kindergarten, he looked so confused when she left in Pratts car and then kept grabbing my hand and bringing me to the door cause he wanted to go wherever she had gone.

When someone gets mad or frustrated with him, he sometimes does this big cheesy smile (kind of like to say..."I know you usually really get a kick out of me when I do this and I don't want you to be mad at me so I am going to try it".)

He babbles ALL the time, and seems like he is talking constantly without really saying anything anyone understands.

I am always asking him questions, all day, to try to understand what he wants and whenever I land on the right thing, he shakes his head yes really big.  It is all of our favorites.

He lays down on his belly in the bath (he loves them) and kicks his feet and lounges in after sitting right under the faucet playing in the water coming out until the bathtub is full.

He loves LOVES bananas. He never says no to one.
