| Clara has been sick so often this winter it seems. I guess there are more older siblings to bring home germs. She just laid in our arms all of Saturday. |
Clara at age 1:
She loves her momma! And I sure am glad. I feel bad sometimes that she won't really go to anyone else very easily, because I want them to be able to experience how wonderful and cute she is. I also love to be able to comfort her and that she feels safe in my arms.
She loves to play peek a boo lately, and her hands can cover any part of her face when she does it. She has the cutest little slender hands that I love so much.
She CAN stand, but won't do it very often. We thought she'd already be walking, but she is content to just crawl really fast.
She is very aware of her 2 sisters and 2 brothers, loves to sit and watch/laugh at them from her high chair. Blake can make her laugh the easiest.
She still loves to nurse. It's still her main source of nutrition it seems like, although she eats meals with us. It's her comfort too since she doesn't have a special pacifier or blanket.
Clara LOVES to be outside, crawling on the lawn, in the stroller headed to pick up the "guys" at their bus stop. I can put her in the wrap I wear and she'll be content outside for hours.
She's getting her forward facing carseat (Blake's hand me down) wrapped up for her birthday and we think she is really going to love the car now.
She constantly has people around her so she is not a "play quietly in her own little circle" kind of a girl.
She still waves hi and says hi to everyone we pass.
She finally likes the bath again but often takes showers with dad.
Blake at age 4:
Blake loves to play with Robbie with cars, on bikes (he is pretty fast on his (borrowed) balance bike, taking jumps and going off the ramp) and he'll play imaginary games (he loves "house") with Hallie alot too. Or any of the plethora of neighborhood girls that will play house with him.
He loves to play with his cousin Bowen. He told me they are "bad boys". And that is probably partially true. Slightly mischevious those two. They have so much fun playing.
Blake has recently started to really like drawing and coloring and will do those things with Hallie too.
Blake likes to take a bite, run around, take another bite, run around for 30 minutes, etc, etc, etc. It is very common to hear "Blake, SIT down to finish ____".
He is getting a balance bike for his birthday after borrowing the neighbors for the last month. He doesn't want to go anywhere without it. He did 1.5 miles on it following Aubrie while she jogged this last Saturday.
Blake is quick to lose his temper and quick to get it back. He forgives easily and is easy to forgive.
Blake's job is to take out all the garbages.
We still have time together before his nap to read and have a "nap treat" together. He is still a great nap taker.
He does a co-op preschool with Lexie Tripp, Alivia Larson, Jayda Hill, and Isaac Faerber and he really likes it alot. We also do a fantastic story time at the Whitmore Library once a week.
Blake asks really good questions, has an amazing vocabulary and just does a good job of keeping up with his siblings.
