Just wanted to document something for future teenagers in our home and also so the kids will know we were being deliberate.

Two major things we feel strongly about with Aubrie and Robbie, once they are in High school we wanted them to be close to us.  We moved bedrooms around with Aubrie and this year with Robbie so they could be close to our room.  This makes later night conversations happen almost daily, much easier to stay accountable, etc.  It has worked.  I am a believer.

Also, every few weeks we have a more serious conversation-- "have you heard, seen or been around something or someone that you have questions about, that you felt uncomfortable with. etc.  It always ends up being a good conversation and it keeps us open with each other.  It started with the 8 year old date and exciting talk with each of them (down to BLake) and then just gets more detailed and specific as they get older and hear/experience more.  I am so grateful for the openness and the many many conversations we've had up to this point.

ANd not that grateful for remote learning that has thrown chromebooks that we dont have any control over but we are rolling with it and its allowed for good conversations.
