A fitting end to the day...

Robbie's Hot Wheel car melted to the glass stovetop.

In other news...Hallie washed Blake's face--including eyes and mouth--with soap, told a girl at the playground she didn't like her (she was trying to say the word hate but it didn't come out right) after I told her to apologize for hitting her, Hallie managed to hit Aubrie 3x and throw a book at Robbie all within 2 minutes of getting up from her nap and she told me to go live at someone else's house on the way home from the playground. Someone (or two of us) is a little put out around here.

and unfortunately, Blake goes to sleep late and wakes up every 2 hours and it takes an hour to put him back to sleep and then Hallie started waking up at 6:30 a.m. So my four hours (not consecutive) of sleep has not been helpful in being patient with life (See above). I'm considering taking Hallie up on her offer (see above).

Munchkin Update

Aubrie is 6.5 still going on 16. She loves to tell us what she IS going to do in each and every situation. The majority of the time she is the most cooperative, obedient and loving girl. I love how fast her mind works. She is loving reading. She gets 9-10 Magic Treehouse chapter books every week at the library and then reads them in 24 hours. and then re-reads them 4 times each for the rest of the week. She likes to imagine with animals with Robbie when she is not doing homework (which is a ridiculous amount for a first grader in my opinion). She is going to the salon for the first time Saturday and is NOT happy about it:) (I figure cutting hair once a year isnt too much to ask).

Robbie is so excited about everything lately--school (we just registered him for Kindergarten), a brother, Spiderman movies, letters (he just learned the last of the alphabet a few weeks ago), and MONSTER TRUCKs (his most favorite topic of conversation--just ask Anna.) Robbie always says "sure" when we ask him to do something. Very best helper round' these parts. He loves TV/movies, monster truck videos on the computer and reading too.

Hallie has forgotten all known vocabulary and pretty much uses the word "Why?" exclusively. It can get a little exhausting sometimes. She sits in her room for 2 hours talking to herself instead of taking a nap and she always wants to be with/holding/watching Blake. Always. Hallie has the best smile you've ever seen. She is a sweetheart of a girl that really just loves. She is quick to say sorry and always very tender with everyone.

Blake is a "man's man" as the pediatrician informed me. He's 2.5 weeks and he has gained 2 pounds since he was born and the doc couldn't believe it. We make cream around here. He gave us a tender mercy last night and slept from 8:30 to 7:00 a.m. only waking up one time at 1:30 for about 1 hour. I wanted to have a party this morning.

and Ryan...well he's not a munchkin, but he is my favorite guy. He has been the Energizer bunny these last few weeks. No complaining, very little sleep and lots of extra workload. I love him more than ever.

Blake's Big Day

We decided a little last minute to have Blake blessed this past Sunday while my MIL (Karen) was in town. Amazingly, Karla and Dave and then Amber and Doug and kids all were able to be there. Ryan called Amber Saturday morning just to let her know that we were and she said, "well, we'd really like to be there" and they packed up the car and left 45 minutes later to drive 6 hours. We were all really touched by the effort on everyone's part to be there. Saturday night, we all watched the BYU game together--which was my favorite so far--both for the actual game and also because it was so loud with all the Jensens together :) Sunday was special. It always is. Blake is a sweetheart.

and the reason there is no picture of the WHOLE family...is because we are dumb.

sidenote: Blake's blessing outfit was made by someone very special to me in Chile. She gave it to me the day I left my mission and no one has worn it yet until Sunday (all summer babies till now). It made it extra special!

Sarah M. you inspired me...

A perfect moment...

The stars aligned this afternoon. (Today was 70 degrees if you can believe that. I dont know where that came from but I. will. take. it. I am a plant I think and when the sun shines I just feel alive. )

The kids got their backpacks out and filled them up with treasures to continue their tradition that had taken a winter hiatus. Going On Adventures. The headed into the "woods" next door and I sat on the porch with Blake and just watched them play together and use their imaginations. They even came home to get their swim goggles to protect their eyes as they cut down a huge tree (With their plastic Black and Decker saw:)). Warm+holding a cute sleeping baby+watching these kids that I love so much playing together and being kids=One of life's perfect moments.

Blake Stephen Jensen is here! Friday 3/4 at 7:32. Whew! We made it.

He is adorable--with a long shaggy mop of dark hair and cute little heart lips. I'll post pictures just as soon as I can find the camera and my brain. They are both currently lost.
