She is WALKING!!! It is now her chosen method of transportation. YEAH!

This might look like a dirty floor to you but it is actually a little bit (or a lot) of my mom that rubbed off on me and passed on to Ryan. I walked past this and cracked up. The kids were in the bath and Ryan was bathing them. While they were playing he "prepped" their pj's and has them sitting in piles along with underwear/diaper for each child. This organization makes getting them out and dressed so efficient. LOVED it!
Whoever mows the lawn does it with this chica in tow and she loves it each and every time. Doesn't make a peep the whole time (and our lawn is pretty big).
While dad mowed the lawn, Robbie and Mom cleaned the car. Or Robbie cleaned and I took pictures of his cuteness.

Camping for our anniversary. It started to rain a few hours after getting to our campsite and then continued the rest of the night (one of the coolest lightening shows I've ever seen) and we woke up to a beautiful morning! We camped next to a lake and this shot was taken right after we stopped our hike to watch a man out on his fishing boat that had started playing the bag pipes. Really?!? and doing a really good job of it too.

Us at 10:30 at night at the local Chili's. After 2 hours trying to start a fire with wet wood and finally successful--within 5 minutes teh downpour started. There went our fire and hopes of yummy tinfoil dinners. Oh well. Thanks Chili's! :) We walked in drenched and reeking of smoke.

And the celebrations continue...

Its that SUPER fun time of the year when we have 3 birthdays and our anniversary all in 7 days. PARTY is the theme of the week.

Ryan always makes my birthday special. He is so great! Starting with breakfast in the morning and a treasure hunt and ending with cheesecake at night. It was so great to talk to a bunch of people that I love too--thanks for calling!

Aubrie/Robbie's party with friends was so fun. I think for the rest of their lives it will always involve water. Best part of August/heat is the water. Aubrie opening her presents early in the morning (We are continuing mom and dad's tradition). Emphasis on early--at least it felt like it. I LOVE watching kids open presents. It is so exciting.
Robbie's birthday is today and his presents all had 4 wheels. That is Robbie's passion in life. He was SOOOo excited (I am assuming since he got up at 6:15 and couldn't go back to sleep). Really, that is so fun to be a kid and be that excited. Loved it. His cake has monster trucks and 4 wheelers.
Also today is our anniversary. 6 years and counting. I tell Ryan every once in awhile that I feel like he gives me wings. I am not sure how he does it but he loves me (that includes all the bad parts), lets me be me (and gets excited for the things that I learn/do) and at the same time helps me become better. That's hard to pull off. But he does it. I love you Ryan!

Luxury...

A whole weekend with Mindi and Tara. Two of my favorite people. movie, birthday party, bike ride, BBQ, slip-n-slide action, and lots of talking and laughing. GT GT little lambs!!!
Tara went into action planning a last minute party for Aubs' birthday and made her the cake of her life....a stable with horses and hay. She L-O-V-E-D it!
Tara came bearing gifts!!!

Mindi and lil H took a liking to each other and were best buddies all weekend.

We have a tradition in my family that you always get thrown into water for your birthday. ALWAYS. Well, since getting married, those occasions have been sparse. however, tara knows about this tradition and decided to re-institute this weekend. (side note: Tara and Mindi BOTH went in before I did--come on girls I lift some serious weight around all day :)) After we decided that slip and slide looked real fun. Sarah joined in and we did some tricks. SOOOOOO fun!

Guess who I am thinking about all day...

I wasn't even really sad, nor was Aubrie. I think we were both so excited. It does tug at the heartstrings to see the emotions on her face of--I am so excited I just want to run in and at the same time I am pretty scared and want to keep holding mom's hand and go back home where its comfortable. When I really felt sad was after we got home, I walked past the playroom and saw Robbie sitting on the bed just reading a book by himself. It was quiet and just seemed so different. Pobrecito. I just wanted to cry for him. I think it's going to be a big change for him (Kindergarten is all day in GA). Hallie's going to have to step it up.
Change is good right? :)

Happy Birthday to my grandma Haynie

To one of the greatest women I know. She embodied this quote:

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention to arrive safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: Wow!! What a ride!"

heard this quote first from my grandma but I learned it from just watching her.

Raining for days and days but we still had to get out. We ended our walk/jog and another day our bike ride like this. Love that southern warm rain. (my arms are just not that long:))
I just took this to ask whether there is any reason I need to be concerned???

It was SO quiet in quiet time (which is highly unusual) so I peeked in and saw Robbie and Hallie playing SO cute together. She is finally big enough to play with. Just in time...
Thursday night is movie night!
I put "Howie"'s hair in piggies the other day and she looked so big. She is losing her "baby-ness".
