A week at our home so I can remember.
Every morning is trying to fit as much as we can into 1.5 hours. Scriptures as a family, piano practice, daily job (Sometimes putting clothes away), making bed and lunches and eating breakfast. As much of that as we can fit in, we do.
Kids leave for school at 7:30 and then 8:05. Lucas has preschool M. W. F at noon.
I try to do 1- major house things every morning. Cleaning all floors (vacuum and mopping), cleaning 1-2 bathrooms thoroughly, all the laundry, organizing the storage room, and yard work. Something every morning. Lucas and I usually run errands or go to a park or have a meeting, etc.
I try to start dinner in the morning so it's quick later in the day to get it all together. and that is the only time I have to get organized with anything I need to. Lately, that has been Young Women's stuff since I was just called into the presidency.
I have the mindset that whatever doesn't happen before 3:00 pm for me personally, won't happen. That is my cut-off. I try to exercise 3-4 times a week too which is my favorite.
Once I pick up all the kids and the afternoons/evenings start it's go time. The schedule is different each season but always full. Dinner is at 6:00/6:30 with whoever is home at the time. I like the routine of is and I think it is good to have it be a formal all-sit down at the island with whoever is here
This fall:
I feel like I coordinate carpools, activities, parent coordinator activities, young women's stuff, Aubrie's questions or comments, and extended family things SO much. Like 100 texts a day or more of just coordinating.
Monday--Hallie has volleyball practice and Robbie has baseball practice until 6:00. Clara has ballet. Blake has soccer practice with football practice right after. We try to have FHE after dinner with everyone (usually minus Blake this fall because of football).
Tuesday- A family in our stake has been setting a 5:30 AM (leave at 5) temple appointment for any youth that wants to go. It sure makes the kids tired for the rest of the day BUT it's awesome and they try to go every few weeks (during the summer they'd go every week). The Hansens take everyone to breakfast after which is amazing!
Hallie and Robbie have volleyball and baseball games usually Tuesdays. We go if they are home or within a 30 minute drive. Ryan has stake young mens meetings at night. Clara has activity days every other Tuesday usually at our church.
Wednesday--lucas has music lessons with Karla. Volleyball and baseball practice until 6. Blake and Clara have piano lessons right after school. Blake has football practice. Clara has soccer practice which Ryan and I just started coaching and LOVE! Lucas can keep up with the 8 year old girls at practice which is good. I have young womens with Hallie (and RObbie) right after and Ryan has softball games Wednesday nights.
Thursdays--Blake has activity days every other Thursday. Then he has football practice. Clara has ballet. Robbie has baseball practice or game and then he is volunteering through our stake with SNAP (Special Needs Activity Program) which is awesome for him! Hallie has volleyball games on Thursdays.
Fridays--practices for the two older kids, Blake and Clara have friends over pretty much every Friday after school since they can't other days. and there is usually something planned Friday night for Ryan and I or all together. Robbie And Hallie usually cook up something social for themselves. Often Cottwonwood football games lately.
Saturday--3 soccer games and Blake's football game, plus some yard work and finally getting Robbie and Hallie to clean something in the house; ) All the social things that can be squeezed in.
Sunday--we have church at 9:00 which I love. We try to do Come Follow me after church and then choir, Robbie goes to mission prep at 2:15. We always have a nice Sunday dinner with all the things. Its not my personal favorite family tradition because I still dont love cooking, but I see kids LOVE it so much. Its something Aubrie said she has missed alot. and I value traditions like that alot. I CRAVE Sundays. they fill me back up. It is slower, no phones (kids phone are on screen time until 5:00 and I put mine away usually) and we all need that disconnect and focus on other things. It is usually a much needed "rest" and I love Sundays because of it.
