Thanks to Amber and Doug who made the arduous trek from New York City to come stay with us all week. You guys are the bomb!
Just some highlights of the week:
Athens Botanical Gardens. We spent a lot of time in the International section :) There was alot of space for running around. Pretty cool place.
Stone Mountain!!! We did the hike again (See summer post) but this time with 5 kids under 4 and it was just as fun. Everyone had a great time laughing at our entourage and we all loved it (I think). Aubrie is the MVP of the hike, again. She is amazing how she just hikes at full speed for miles. I thought when she did it in the summer, that is was just a fluke.

Robbie was so cute on my back--just all tucked in there. Little lamb!
We plumb-tuckered em' out. But the cutest part really is that Leah and Aubrie went to sleep holding hands and stayed that way the whole hour ride home. Tender girls!
This represents 48 hours of cooking--I am almost positive. I was so excited to sit down and eat, but more because my legs were hurting :) Some friends came over to join our group and one of them-Amber W. cooked our 27 lb. gobbler and it was YUMMY! Amber D. made some seriously good pies too!
My favorite part of Thanksgiving--ROLLS! Thank you Sr. Grant for the recipe for these DELICIOUS melt in your mouth babies!

We drove to ATL to go to the GA Aquarium and after a series of unfortunate events, didnt end up going and so we hung out at a playground and then at the Olympic Rings fountain in Centennial Park. It was done for the Olympics and they have 3-4 shows a day but the fountains are going even when there isnt a show. It was SOOOOO much fun. We were all wet by the end (it was like 35 degrees outside) but Aubrie was SOAKING wet. She couldn't have had more fun. (Remember these Anna and Curt?)

We decorated somewhat for Christmas while the Doxeys were here because Doug was so excited about it. We went a little cheaper this year and didn't buy a tree but used our fake one that i bought 90% off last year after Christmas. Still beautiful even without that smell that I love. The kids have LOVED the Little People Nativity set and we play with it every night and read a few Christmas stories by the tree. One of my favorite memories of Christmas time growing up.
and lastly, Ryan "Oil" Jensen, got us all into the Aquarium at half the cost--dont ask how--the following day and it was INCREDIBLE. That is one of the sharks in the picture. They have 5-6 of the big whale sharks and then 3 Baluga whales and tons of other amazing things that we have 70 pictures of. It was really, really cool! I'll save some for another post so that this isn't 5 mouse scrolls down and only 4. :)
and we have never had so much fun making a Christmas gift (I think). We finally finished it last night at 2:00 a.m. Pretty sure we are more excited about it than they will be. However, we've wanted to get one for them for years. It was a great learning experiences with tools and I have a VERY creative and handy husband!
